This slice of crazy is something derived from fringe activity in libraries and dungeons, and carries a painful essence of frustration - which is in no way a bad thing here! I’m confident that, in this special case, the urge to say something of value where no voice was given before has granted this tape maximum credentials.

Popping this into my tape player, I’m hearing a very apt creepy sample from the 1950s “The Twilight Zone” show, as well as a robot letting you know Mrs. Benn is the culprit for this audio assault. DIY manipulation gets a thumbs up from me, and I’m grinning and cycling while the scaled modulations roll through.
Mobile and active surging rhythms with a unique shelving, high-pressure manual style of mixing leave me stepping for my life and my hormones are all over the shop. ADHD levels of action and excitement underneath a flash flood of sweat. Mrs. Benn’s far out selects even cover a brutal rendition of Whitehouse’s “Wriggle Like A Fucking Eel” in the form of “Wriggle” by clipping. in just the most exhausting and manic cranial workout. No further example needed of the intelligence going into this work.

What I really enjoy about this cook book is that there is no vested interest in guiltless self-promotion or side-stepping from the fact that this is a mixtape for villains with pure ambition. A bold step in Mrs. Benn’s journey to conquer the world, and while it is neither the first nor the last, it’s a reminder that freshness still exists out there, and only a few are able to bear that torch with any quality.
